Is it common for rental car companies not to explicitely indicate the insurance charges with the rental fees?

Ie, when someone says rental is 6oo chf per month,., should I ask what else.. and he will tell insurance,,, is that something assumed with all rental companies??? or it's possible to rent a car for 600 chf for a month,, and max 1500 KM per month?

And anythingelse could be a hidden charge ?

The motorway vignette, snow tyres in winter, etc, etc. Many insurances exclude some things, like tyres and wheels, etc. Best to ask very specifically what IS and what IS NOT included right from the start.

Leasing, insurance is not included.

Renting, it is.

Insurance other than very basic cover is often not an initial part of the offer price in Europe, (the UK being an exception) if you want full cover you normally have to pay extra, so before you sign it's always best to ask what your liabilities are in case of an accident
