Stolen bike: does the little sticker help to track it/
My old and not very good bike was pinched last night. It's more attention than it's had for some time and may actually have left me for another man rather than being stolen. I have i think, rather taken it for granted
As it's a pretty rubbish bike I expect it will be dumped and was wondering if the vignette would be helpful for the police to ID the owner.
Any ideas on the chances of recovering the purple machine and if it's worth reporting this...

The lil' sticker will have little if any difference, except if you'd registered it with the BikeRefinder scheme, which I believe is reasonably successful should someone come across it in a drunken, sorry mess at the side of the road.
Your bike's left you, man. Have a beer, lip up.

Did you keep the other bit of the sticker (i.e. the booklet in which it came). That would be the only way of definitively identifying you as the owner because the serial numbers on sticker and booklet will match.

I think it's a case of too little too late: I just hope the new man appreciates the purple bike more than i ever did
Ah bud, there are plenty more fish in the sea. It's of little consolation, I know a trout in the pot is better than a salmon in the sea, but maybe you could have a green one next time. Imagine her beautiful pert curves, her long legs...
