Krankenkasse with gym membership contributions

Hi,

Can anybody provide a list of insurers who offer money for gym memberships as part of their "Zusatzversicherung"? Or is this listed on comparis somewhere?

Cheers.

Re: Krankenkasse with gym membership contributions

As an example, Sansan offers money for a gym membership. However, as this support amounts generally only to about CHF 200 it is probably better to decide in favour of a cheap insurance, irrespective if it supports a gym membership.

There are several which do this, you have to be sure that you have the right complementary. Sometimes it's included in the package, other times you may have to take out a separate complementary product.

I know that Helsana (so Progres, Sansan etc. too), Visana and Intras are among those who cover the most.

Re: Krankenkasse with gym membership contributions

N.B. With the Helsana group, only a certain amount of gyms are recognised!

To be recognised by the group, the gym has to pay a membership to an association (can't remember the name offhand...)

Membership of the association is not necessarily a mark of quality. It just means that they paid their subscription :P

As far as I know, Visana and Intras don't use this system.

SWICA offers up to 500 CHF/year back for gym/training memberships with their "COMPLETA PRAEVENTA" plan which also covers annual check-ups, travel inoculations, spa treatments, and some portion of optical and dental. I've been very pleased with their service and prompt reiumbursement.

You have to choose a gym from the association 'Qualitop': http://www.qualitop.org/de/Frame_de.htm

Re: Krankenkasse with gym membership contributions

There are some companies who'll cover you 350.- towards a gym plus money off gym courses (e.g. yoga, back classes etc.)

There are some who'll give you 300.- off a gym plus 100.- towards sports equipment etc.
