Hi guys

Does anybody know where is best to get insurance for extreme sports (holidays) from here in switzerland?

I have already looked at UK insurers but as i am no longer a UK resident they will not insure me.

Anybody any good links for me to get cover from here in Switzerland?

You're not one of those crazy lemmings that dives off the cliffs above Lauterbrunnen are you? The insurers would probably only cover you if they got a buck every time someone watched the YouTube video.....

Its for Ultra Running training Camp up Mont blanc.... which apparently is classed as 'extreme' ha!

Any ideas on where I can get insured for this all the Swiss ones just look like ski cover?!

The Austrian Alpine club would cover you for rescue costs but not medical costs as they would probably deem your activity as training for a race.

At a minimum, you should have Rega so they can get you back to a Swiss hospital.

If you have an iPhone, you should also get the iRega app from iTunes store. it is free.

You could also look at TCS travel insurance (either Europe only or World). It might help as well.
