I am thinking of increasing my franchise and started calculations according to the helpful thread here Deductible / Excess / Franchise - which is the best one to choose?.

The only thing which makes me doubt is that I dont know what the access of lets say 300 CHF and 10% deductible apply to? I know that the accident consequences treatment, a set of procedures during the pregnancy and the giving birth itself are not included in the franchise. But it is all when you have only obligatory health insurance. How does it work if I give a birth or make an operation in a private hospital, or cure my teeth or do something else what is payed only by complimentary health insurance? Will the franchise apply to these bills also?

And one more additional question. I know that after you payed franchise you go on paying 10 % of the bills till you reach the fixed amount. Is it still 700 CHF? Does not it change every year? Have anybody ever seen the official document with this figure?

1. The deductible of ten percent up to CHF 700 always applies, not matter what kind of franchise you choose (except of course for birth costs etc.)

2. Supplementary insurance has its one rules according to the general terms and conditions. It does not change every year and should it change you will be informed by your insurance company.
