Hi,
I am new to Switzerland and currently in the quest of choosing a medical insurance. I am really convinced with the GroupeMutuel (with Basicplus/Hausarztmodell model) as this is the cheapest of all to my knowledge. To get benefited from this plan I need to choose a doctor to whom I need to report always in the first place with some exceptions.

I am planning to choose one of the doctors from mediX zürich.

is anyone already with mediX zürich? how good is the service? Are the doctors friendly?

I was in the mediX Notfallpraxis at Stauffacher once. The staff and the doctor were really friendly and competent (to my mind). Otherwise, I'm not in this Hausarztmodell because I've got a private insurance from my homecountry and always have to pay the bill first.

So from this one, and not representative, impression: yes, the service at this particular surgery is good!

My husband is on the medix model (although with CSS but it should work the same) with Dr. Huber at the medix in Rotbuchstrasse. Not only is he competent and friendly, I'm also overall very impressed with their care model, especially as he has to see several specialists and their care is well coordinated. The practice also includes some specialists (e.g. eye doctor and dermatologist) that are easy to be referred to as they are in the same place. If you need specialists that are not in-house they have certain ones that they cooperate with, but it was also possible to suggest a specialist we wanted to see ourselves (although that took a bit of convincing). I would definetely recommend it as the care is good and you save a lot of money!

Have you looked at Comparis?

Mutuel is the cheapest, but they might be the slowest compensating you the money after you have paid the doctor.
