I have two kids age 2 and 8 and thinking of getting the dental insurance done. Checked a few sites and got offer from our insurance company (Assura). Any specific recommendations or precautionary advices would be appreciated.

Both our children are covered by Helsana. They were 4 & 9 when we took out the cover and they had the completa coverage (up from basic).

My daughter now 11 has just has braces fitted. It was all rather simple and we got a quote 15,000 over three years. Helsana will pay out 75% upto a maximum of 10,000 for three years. I hope this helps

Don't know about other companies, but I can share prices from Visana. No claim from me yet as I just signed up, so can't comment on this. But my claims from Visana supplementary insurance in the past for my massages have been very very easy.

I took the one of Assura, and now I regret I did, because I discovered the Intras one is much better... I did things in a hurry for my baby, and Assura has franchise before they pay back anything, which is not the case with Intras.
