Hi, I am 5 months pregnant. Do you think that I can get a new insurance now. My insurance is little weird that has limit to maternity ( prenatal, postnatal) up to 6000 euro. But I have told that giving birth in Geneva public hospital which required to be deposed 15000 CHF if the insurance not covering full. Other private hospital pays more.

What insurance do you have ?

If you are resident here you should have a basic Swiss insurance. As you are already pregnant you will not be able to get any supplementary cover now.

You could consult Jenny who has arranged cover for many forum members.

Are you a resident in Switzerland? Why do you not have Swiss insurance? What country are you from? Some info about yourself will surely help give you a better answer.

thanks for your reply, my husband works Embassy of Mongolia, so we had group insurance company which had already taken all workers of our mission. It named Swiss Global Insurance but I think it linked to another French company.
I am so disappointed to know about maternity limit of our insurance after I got pregnant, now I am 5 months pregnant. I just hope if I get any swiss basic insurance now,
