Yes, I see this is covered in many threads and appears to be a notice period of three months before the end of the year for supplementary, and one month for basic. I even found an English guide on it from the government and they offer a sample letter.

Sounds good, but I have a problem. My insurance company, after a 'battle' over them covering pregnancy costs where I informed them I plan to cancel, told me that as my policy started in April of this year, I can't cancel until the end of December 2012 (with written notice by end of November 2012). I haven't found any literature to support this. I'm quite distraught, having spent thousands already on bills for an uncomplicated pregnancy that I have yet to see money for. I have received conflicting responses that generally show the company as very dishonest.

I desperately want to change and have received an offer from another company that I want to accept. Any advice would be super. Thanks so much. :/

Edit: Just to add that I am on basic insurance only.

Contact Jenny on the forum, maybe she can help you. Do a search on insurance and you will find her. I personally would still send the formal cancellation letter by Monday with reciept confirmation as it needs to be recieved in hand by the end of November.

Do so by recommended post so you have proof, including date.

A little update: Atupri was dishonest with their dates. Indeed I could cancel by the November deadline of this year and have done so. Thanks also to Jenny. =)
