Health insurance - cost of dealing with a complaint.

My partner went to the doctors for a complaint she had and was charged CHF200 for the appointment. She was then passed on to a specialist and they charged CHF900 for their proceedure. Now our insurance company wants us to pay the CHF200, but my point is that the whole compaint cost CHF1100 and should be covered by our insurance. Shall I go back to the insurance company to complain, we have a francaise of CHF300.

I don't want a fight, but I just need to understand how this insurance works, since I appear to be paying out a lot of money, although we have a low excess. So if the second bill was under CHF 700 them we would then have to pay CHF 70. OK Now I understand it a bit better.
