I need your help to understand : "Hand in all of the mandatory exemption forms"
Does that mean I have to go to their office to give them the forms hand to hand, or can I mail/fax/send the forms to them ?

(it is for swisscare insurance...)

It means you must submit all of the required forms/papers/documents by whatever means you are submitting them.

It doesn't mean you literally have to put them from your hand to theirs.

You will be fine to mail or fax (even e-mail if they gave you the option) all of the documents.
