Spa treatments on health insurance

Hi all,

As part of my complementa insurance with Assura it includes up to 1,000 CHF of "Cures balnéaires, sur prescription médicale" each year (spa treatment under medical prescription).

Has anyone ever used this? What sort of spa treatments do you get a medical prescription for????

Thanks

Arrgh - that sounds serious!!! what about for dry skin or something a bit more soothing? I just have this image of a nice relaxing spa day paid for from my hideous health insurance premiums.....

Re: Spa treatments on health insurance

These aren't 'spas', they are a means to try and cure, or relieve the symptoms of serous illnesses -asthma, rheumatoid arthritis, rheumatism, pneumonia etc. Recognized treatments and very exhausting too... not exactly the 'pamper yourself kind of place' :-)
