Hi,

We have got health insurance through work which covers orthodontic treatment for the children but I'm wondering if it's worth taking out an additional dental plan for the kids for normal dental care, or whether with the franchise (min. 500 CHF), it's not worth it.

I don't know the costs of a regular check up for kids and one of my son has 2 small fillings in his baby teeth that need keeping an eye on.

Any advice or experience of costs normal dental care would be appreciated

I would say yes ... It usually doesn't cost too much to insure and check ups etc soon mount up.... You are so lucky to have orthodontic cover :-)
