I have a slightly more challenging issue for you here;

I am UK citizen coming to Liechtenstein and living there for at least the next six to twelve months (Studying at the Hochschule.) I am leaving Dubai and possibly bringing with me my car. Its Euro Spec and a nice car too.

I am unclear as to how to get the blessed thing over and where and if I can actually drive it . Any advice on the website or who to speak to at the Liechtenstein interests section at the UK Embassy would be appreciated...

Am I better off importing from Dubai to the UK and then insuring & re-plating in the UK and bringing over, or...Importing from Dubai and then Insuring and re-plating in the Principality?

Any thoughts welcomed. Advice gratefully received.

I am also looking for how to get a UK car insured third party in Switzerland withouth having to get Swiss plates. Was beginning to panic and thinking how to get the car out of here before my UK insurance runs out.

yes indeed, my insurance guy still laughs at me now. "Can I ride my missus' bike?" - "Yes of course, here in Switzerland the car is insured not the driver".

Do watch out for caveats like over-25s only policies

I have arrived in Switzerland 2 weeks ago with a very old UK car and my UK green card runs out on 12th. I am sorely in need of the contact details of your "Mr okey dokey" to sort out some swiss third party insurance for my next to worthless UK car. I have tried contacting companies (including Zurich connect) and have met with no response.
