I am currently living and working in Switzerland but soon to be leaving to live in Malaysia . My wife has Rheumatoid Athritis , which is currently controlled by medication , which is fully paid for by our health insurance . As the meds are quite expensive ( even in Malaysia ) , I would like to know if it would be possible to continue with our current health insurance or at least convert it to some sort of international coverage . We are currently with Sanitas .

Yes , agreed ....... However , would be nice to hear it in English before I get the German version , though .

As I understand it, once your address changes to something outside of Switzerland, you will need to get a new insurance policy.

Unless you are moving to Malaysia to work for a Swiss organisation, then you will no longer have any real link to Switzerland, so I cannot see any Swiss insurance company wanting to cover you.
