Hello - I have a question on behalf of my husband. Do you know which of Tradiconsult or Swisscare is the better choice for foreigners who may want coverage for overseas travel?

I am not too sure if as a postdoc, your husband is eligible for either of these insurance companies. I would strongly recommend CSS StudentCare. I also assume you are living in Lausanne right ?

Perhaps a stupid question, but what makes CSS better than for instance Tradiconsult or Swisscare?

When I was a student I went with swisscare. I read around and they seemed to have the best feedback then. I never had to claim but remember having to make a few changes and they were always pretty efficient and were able to deal with everything in English.
