A few silly questions, but I have been unable to find the answer via search.

I recently came back to CH (I was here before for 8 years) and have taken KKasse with Atupri for the family.

- When here before I used to send the medical invoices to the insurance provider, they would pay the bill and send me an invoice for my portion. Is that still the case today? I wasn't with Atupri before.

- They have also sent me a chip card - how does this work? I assume I should be presenting it to the doctor or whenever I get a prescription? But what does it do?

- Finally, do I pay for prescriptions with Atupri, or if I use the card do Atupri then send me an invoice?

While Atupri were cheapest, they also do not have any info in English

The card will provide emergency treatment in all other EU countries, on the same terms as a resident.

Usually the Dr / hospital will directly bill the insurance company.

As far as prescriptions how high is your franchise? Many items can be purchased in France for way less, whilst German pharmacy prices are closer to Swiss ones.

In any case keep receipts for anything you pay, if you seek reimbursement.
