| Hi all,
I am moving to Switzerland next year and had some questions regarding car insurance.
I'm a British citizen but have been residing in Sweden the past 2 years.
At the start of the year I got a three month driving ban for speeding. my license was confiscated but as it is a UK license there was no Mark put on it.
I've been looking at insurance quotes in Switzerland and they ask if you have been banned from driving. Just wanted to know if I had to declare this to them as it doesn't specify driving ban in Switzerland.
Thanks in advance! | |

You should declare as insurance is based on utmost good faith, if you don't then you can forget any payouts if they find out, especially on accident damage. They will pay 3rd party claims but may choose to recover from you, be warned the concept of bankruptcy DOES NOT exist in CH so you will be liable for the full extent of the claim.
