Insurance broker - any recommendations?

I am looking at various insurance options having just arrived in Zurich. Can someone recommend an insurance broker? All the help is greatly appreciated!

The internet...

Unless your requirements are non standard.

www.comparis.ch does comparisons, or you can just search on google.

Thank you, I am fully aware of comparison.ch website and such. I am interested in a broker who is good and can thus yield a good price/benefits option. Very often, Switzerland included, a broker can negotiate a better deal compared to a generic website.

For the standard (basic) health cover?

I seriously doubt that the health insurers would sth. so thoroughly illegal.

I'm guessing he/she wants something more than the basic health cover as there wouldn't be any room for broker commission and a discount in the standard 200 CHF a month policy...

Re: Insurance broker - any recommendations?

I think the key benefit of a broker is to help you avoid some of the MANY pitfalls that the Swiss insurance companies have set up for the "unwary". If you deal through someone (assuming they are good), they will make sure you do not over insure but also make sure you insure the things you need to AND have the policy items/terms that make sure if get paid if you have a claim (here I am mostly thinking about car and household insurance).

I would strongly recommend Jenny who posts on EF. She found excellent health and 3rd party insurance deals.

I can recommend:

Uwe Scheunemann, uwe.scheunemann@awd.ch

I don't want to post a phone number here, pls contact him via mail if you are interested. He has been with us for several years now, helping us a lot. He speaks English and even Spanish (my gf is mexican)... very helpful.

Re: Insurance broker - any recommendations?

Hi recently we came across some " agressive Insurance" people who literally forced us an apointment amidst house move etc..
They came to our house after office hours and compared our current insurance plan with other options in the market.
In the end , We did not go for the Insurance change, as we have lots on the table to plan, but we found them like human version of comparis. And they definitely had lots of good information.
