Lucky you. We had lot of issues with them. Had to change it at the end to Sanitas.

I've been with Concordia for 5 years and must say, like all others, they can be annoying. Especially when my GF started to be really ill (and I mean heavy stuff with 6 months hospital + chemo + others).
Our doctors always had to argue with theirs so that they agree to threatments ...
In the end, they said yes most of the time and are decent when it comes to reimbursing our bills (around 5/months).

I was considering others to save money but it seems the average service we get from them is better than most others. Anyone else with them too ?

I guess it's like most things, people need to rant about problems and rarely praise good service so we often only see the bad experiences posted on here.

I was with GM and they were fine, although I do have to say that insurance administration in general works a bit differently here in Switzerland to what you might expect. If you've come from the UK where you get everything instantly online with full explanations and you pay or set up payment up front then it can be a shock. I seem to remember getting my health card but no bills for ages. For my car insurance I think it was three months or more before they sent me the bill.

One tip if you want to speak to someone in English is to select German then ask in German if there is someone there who can speak to you in English. This has worked for me (when I needed it) and I suspect wouldn't work so well if you select French. You'd have thought that if a company offically offered English language communication they would get more business but it must be forbidden by the government or something (not an official language.)

Actually...the reverse. From what I understand, they charged members too much and stockpiled the money, and now members should be getting reimbursements ?

Either way, We've been with then 8 years, and the best way in my experience to communicate in English is via normal post. They have always been prompt with documents and communication, and we've never had a problem...

I have Mutuel and very happy with them. Never had any problems and customer service is good.

Surprised to see so many people with bad experiences with GM. I have been with them for several years, and have always enjoyed great customer service, which says a lot, because it often seems to me that Switzerland has no idea of what that concept means.
