| Hi Jenny
Hope you can advise us about health insurance.
My wife and I (both retirees/pensioners) just got B Bewilligung for residence in our flat in Flims (GR). We will be making regular trips back to France where we still have a cottage and visiting family and friends in UK and Holland as well - altogether perhaps away from Switzerland 4-5 months per year. I am Australian, so need to pay Grundversicherung: my wife is Dutch so will have form S1 cover (old E121) for hers.
Any advice for the best/cheapest health insurance for me (us) which will also cover us securely for illness sustained in other countries above - or does the Swiss Eurocard equivalent do this in any case (some insurers seem to want to charge extra for this!).
Not that well off, so I think that we would be very happy with the cheapest (eg Hausarzt) insurance. Look forward to your comments.

As soon as you become Swiss residents, then Swiss health insurance is mandatory. Your nationality and absences abroad are irrelevant.
Thanks to Swiss bilateral agreements with the EU, your Swiss insurance entitles you to emergency medical treatment anywhere in the EU.
