Klinisches Medgate Zentrum vs HMO Praxis

I'm going to change my insurance at the end of the year and I'm trying to understand whether it's best to go with a company like Innova which has 2 options:
1)Telcare: Call Medgate then go to doctor of choice
2) Telgate: Call Medgate then have to go to the Klinisches Medgate Zentrum in Gellerstrasse

or

KPT whose partner is the HMO Praxis in Sternengasse or individual HMO affiliated doctors.

Does anyone have any experience of either of these places? I'd be grateful if you could let me know how they rate in terms of service/expertise/waiting times and how easy it is to get an appointment.

Also if you've had good/bad experiences with Innova and KPT that would be great to know.

Many thanks

Hi

I can't answer the whole of your question but I am with KPT and I tried the HMO Praxis in Oerlikon (Zurich) and wasn't at all satisfied with the service. I would advise to go with a private doctor you can choose.

Re: Klinisches Medgate Zentrum vs HMO Praxis

Thanks for your post. I went along to an individual HMO doctor in the end and she was great. I was seen on time and she could speak perfect English.

I enquired about the possibility of her referring me for alternative treatments like acupuncture, and physio and she said it wasn't a problem. So I'll give this a shot and try to find an insurance company now.

Re: Klinisches Medgate Zentrum vs HMO Praxis

Pity you didn't get more replies.

According to comparis.ch KPT is one of the cheapest health insurances in Switzerland so if the people on this forum are with more expensive insurances I'd advise them to change over.

Health insurances provide very little service (=paying bills) so IMHO there is absolutely no reason not to go for the cheapest option in the lists provided by comparis.ch.
