I'm just about to sign up for my medical insurance but I need to name a GP in my area. Are there any online search engines that can tell you what GPs are in your area?

Just check on the yellow pages. I didn't know one had to name a doctor before subscribing to a new insurance. Is that an HMO?

well, It tired 'doctor', 'Médecin généraliste', 'Dr' and none of them gave me anything suitable.. either a whole bunch of homeopathic doctors or just one GP who is miles away from where I live.
Any ideas?

Your insurance company/HMO should be able to give you a list of doctors.

A book called "Living in Lausanne and the canton of Vaud" and published by the American Women's Club of Lausanne ( www.geocities.com/awclausanne ) has a list of doctors who speak English.
