Oh Tash. Yes, it does sound rude but she may be strapped up in a hospital bed being only able to type with one finger. Or maybe just her nose......

Hope it's not too serious OP

You guys are harsh. Sorry I forgot my manners, I'm a little exhausted.
Let's see my husband is in the hospital with broken hip and broken knee, I have stage 3c melanoma and suspect another tumor, and my two teenagers are still making adjustments to our new life in Switzerland. We have taxes to do for the USA and Switzerland, we are new here, and what we thought was motorcycle insurance was not.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP THOUGH.

Re: [English-speaking] lawyer name [sought, please. Thank you.]

so you need the lawyer for the motorbike your husband crashed whilst having no insurance?

or you need the lawyer to pursue the at-fault other party?

or you need help doing your taxes?

It sounds like you're having a rough time but please do post your needs clearly so that people can help.

I wish you and your family well.

Shelly,

A bit of advice. Your husband will be interviewed by the police and they will be throwing paper at him to sign. Make sure he signs nothing without knowing what he is signing with your own interpreter/solicitor (not police supplied).

Re: [English-speaking] lawyer name [sought, please. Thank you.]

Sorry to hear about your predicaments.

For CH taxes, I can recommend Saxer Treuhand

Saxer Treuhand AG
www.saxer-treuhand.ch
Greifengasse 21
4058 Basel, Switzerland
061 262 04 04

Herr Saxer speaks English. I don't know if he does US taxes, so you may need to go to a larger firm...

For a lawyer, we've used one:
British Grether MacGeorge GmbH
www.gmacg.com
Austrasse 95
4051 Basel, Switzerland
061 206 88 00

I don't know if they do accidents, as we used them for property. But if they don't, I am sure that they will know some who do and speak English.

Re: [English-speaking] lawyer name [sought, please. Thank you.]

My husband was at fault and not insured properly. Luckily his work has great accident insurance so his medical is being taken care of. However, we will be responsible for the other two cars and their repairs. There will also be the criminal fines etc. We are at our ropes end, only hanging on by the grace of God.
