| | | Heath Insurance contributes to gym membership......
I sent my gym registration form to SANSAN and they confirmed that they will be paying CHF 200 towards my membership.
Just thought i would mention it, although most of you probably already know.
cheers

Is this a general rule for health insurers to contribute to such expenses?
Asking as my insurer said they do not so it depends or are they simply not telling me the truth?

I believe it would depend what policy one has and with whom.
The woman at the gym told me that some companies contribute up to CHF 600!!!
cheers

SC | | | | | SWICA for instance covers up to CHF 800.00 towards your fitness centre subscription (they have their own list of approved gyms) with certain policies |

SC | | | | | Yeah, mine (SWICA) is 500. Very nice - about 2 months worth of premium.

Does anyone know how long it takes for you to get the money from Swica when you have sent the registration papers?

They pay CHF 75% of the course up to a max of CHF 500, but limited to CHF 200 in each area. Relaxation is another area - so find someone they pay for through their website offering massages
They look my kid's kinderturnen teacher off their list |

I discovered that CHF200 of my annual gym fee was refundable with an extra clause to my Helsana policy, which actually cost me CHF240 a year more.
I cancelled the extra cover and didn't claim the gym and gained CHF40 a year...

Is this actually money given or does it just come out of the franchise?

AFAIK the really expensive insurers - you know the ones you have to bend over for - "offer" such perks to their "respected" clients.
...paid for of course by the painful premiums.
You are usually better off going to another supplier for health insurance and paying for the gym yourself.

Eg., they don't pay the first Fr.500 of your massages... . I compared this to another company which gives Fr.200 for gym membership and no deductible whatsoever for massages. Swica sounded good at first but is actually Fr.200 more expensive in the end for someone who likes massages as well.

This might help everyone to see if their health insurance will contribute.

anyone has an idea 'bout EGK??
I check their website and here is what they said
I am a little bit confused. If i understand it correctly this means that they did not contribute for gym but only training. what does it means?

I believe that you get money back but its a catch as you have to take additional insurance for that and as well if you compare usually they are much more expensive then other ones.
