Hi all,
does anybody know if medical check-ups i.e. once a year or once every 2 years, are covered by the basic medical insurance (Grundverisherung) or one needs to have a supplementary insurance for this?
I read about the services provided by the basic insurance here
http://www.comparis.ch/krankenkassen...sicherung.aspx
and there is a chapter (8) on prevention, but my impression is it applies only in cases where the exam is justified by some prior history or other reasons..
I am talking about a normal precautionary check-up of a healthy person.
In case it is covered, I am also interested to know, if this should be prescribed by a doctor e.g. Hausarzt and what exams does it contain i.e. only blood tests, or also ultrasounds etc..?
If anyone can shed some light into this, I believe it will be a useful thread for many people.
Thanks a lot in advance
