That have nothing to do with Islamists, this is pure Egyptians protests, these protests gathered muslims, christians, there were men, women, young, children from all over the country, these are fed up angry citizens who cannot afford even buying bread anymore, who cannot find jobs, who dig their and their children's food from the garbage everyday, who are forced by a corrupt violent regime to obey and obey on daily basis, who never had the right to speak out for 30 years, it is about time they ask for their basic rights to live as human beings without people judging them or being sarcastic about it.
Today i felt really proud to be a citizen of such a great nation, who finally are getting back control over their lives, i have been following all day and were so glad to see the young generation stand out with nothing but pure courage and no fear against 30 years of corruption and oppression.
Here are some footage of the day, as per the info i'm receiving, they're planning to continue till tomorrow and maybe till thursday.

Rumors abound that Jamal (Jimmy) Mubarak - the persident's son and (former?) likely candidate to inherit the presidency fled to London.
Unless the Egyptian regime proves that this is rumor is false the demostrations will grow.
These demonstrations are without precedent in Egypt - no one predicted them before Tunisia. it could be that we are seeing a new political phenomena in the arab world.
Whether it is the 1917 or 1989 of the Arabs is the big question.

Many analysts (good or bad) compare it to what happend in 1968 in europe with youth requesting more freedom, rights, etc....
Time will tell, but there is no way back from what I see. Other regimes in the area should already pack to Saudi Arabia.

Revolt in Tunisia.
Uncertainity in Morocco and Algeria, along with Jordan, Yemen and and many other Arab states anticipating such revolts.
Egyptians already on the roll and US downscaling funds and support for Democratic regimes in Egypt and other Arab states.
There have been incidents of self immolation in other Arab states including Saudi Arabia, any future incident can be a trigger as in Tunisia.
Leaked info about Palestinian Authority short selling Palestinians, and accusing Emir of Qatar of delibrating it via Aljazeera.
Iran defiant and holding its stance.
Pro Hizbollah candidate PM in Lebanon.
Attack on Moscow airport just before Russian President was preparing himself to propose Russia as a viable home for foreign investment at the Davos Business Forum and Russians vowing revenge.
Economic gloom in EU, US and rest of the world.
All these can prove to be a dangerous mix to a volatile situation. My only concern is, if its really people's choice or something being orchestrated with certain end in sight by certain invisible forces. |

Majority of Egyptians are unhappy with corrupted dictator they have, but there is a high risk of Islamist radicals who are popular among millions of poor and very poor people, taking over the rule, which means, many will be missing this regime if this happens! |

I don't think the egyptian people will miss him.
The risk of radical islamists is low; the people are asking for more freedom mainly not for more religion. It could be that islamism is more in the fantasy of western countries in this case.
Good test for the government will be Friday after the prayer.

The Opposition parties are most likely to benefit from these revolutions, but the question would be are they any better than the present rulers?
People are not revolting for more freedom or even religion, its about unemployment and having enough money/opportunities to earn their livelihoods. Though such revolts are always portrayed as fight for freedom and rights, whereas when one is well fed and comfortable then one is least likely to take it to the streets for anything.
Things have been dire in for common folks in that region for a long time, only now they have gotten aggressive about it. There are triggers and then there are instigators.
I would say world economics is fully saturated, there can only be so much debt/asset to be passed around. So it has to be written off and substantial number of shareholders/stakeholders to get rid off. What better way then to do it in the backdrop of war and confusion.

Conspiracy is history for idiots.
The muslim brothers seem to be playing this right - keeping quiet.
If the demos fail - no excuse for the government to crack down, if they succeed - they will demand to be part of the new regime.

When your access to information is extremely limited, as is the case for the majority of Egyptians, you're indeed prone to believe whatever is being said...Even your local garbage collector's word is credible -not to belittle garbage collectors, but you get the idea...

They will have this right to demand on the basis of sitting on a fence while common people were on the streets?
BTW... How do you explain Orange and Rose revolts in Ukraine and Georgia? Work of Islamists, perhaps? How about Industrial Revolution? I mean it was a revolution, no?
You need to add some more possible causes and outcomes to your 2 bit brain and analytical process. | Quote: | | | | | point taken. Change to "Conspiracy is history for the uninformed". | | | | | Or even, "conspiracy is the excuse to be in uninformed."
The way I see things, one can be either right or wrong.
