To all those coming from the countries that have sent fireworkers and aeroplanes and helicopters to help to stop the disastrous fires of the last two days in Greece , I want to say a big thank you. We have in Greece extremely beautiful places apart from islands amazing mountains and half of greece is unfortunately at the moment burning.Bad wether conditions with strong winds do not help. We already count 46 dead people and thee pictures are horrible...nothing more.just thank you.

I’m sure many of us wish to express our sympathy to the people of Greece at this time and sinserely hope that these terrible fires will stop very soon.

Being a Turk, I keep my Greek brothers and sisters in my prayers. I will never forget the kindness people showed me when I was visiting Athens from Istanbul and the earthquake of 1999 happened.
