Hasn't this been a law-abiding truth since Reagan declared that Ketchup was a vegetable too ?

At least with Ketchup, you could get to 1 serving of vegetable eventually. School cafeteria pizza, well, you'd probably puke from being too full first...

And ketchup also counts as lean protein - rat parts, bug parts, etc.......had a friend who worked at a Heinz plant. "Natural flavoring" anyone?

To a bunch of vegetables, everything looks like a vegetable. That's not surprising.

What is surprising is that the American people would elect to be governed by the leftovers from harvest festival. But, apparently, that's what happened.
