I dont think asking for a war is ever justified!!! The Falkland war was a social disaster. I also think that Great Britain has some far more serious problems to solve than this (>20% Youth Unemployment is an extremely alarming trend). The last thing you'd want is wast the resources you don't have on a silly war in the South Atlantic!

Wait, the UK retired all the Sea Harriers (SHARs) a couple of years ago. No carriers either right now. There are 5 RAF Typhoon (Eurofighters) currently deployed at Mount Pleasant airfield.

The Falkland Islands should belong to Argentina. It's ridiculous for the UK to claim that an island halfway around the world and directly off the coast of Argentina is part of its territory. If they haven't noticed, we're no longer stuck in the 18th century. Well maybe they haven't, seeing as they bother keeping a monarchy around to this day.

Try telling that that to the British islanders who live there - it's not just about real estate.

Like Gibraltar, The Falklands, although tiny in peacetime play crucial roles in time of conflict because of their locations.
