I guess this gives you an idea of her true character. Even though Tiger's behaviour was appalling, there must have been a reason for his choice of woman to have an affair with, they all struck me as rather undemanding females...

Possible but 12m is about 10% of what she got in her divorce settlement and she just burnt it, just like that!

She didn't burn the house. She had it demolished. Obviously, she bought the property with the idea of wanting the land (for whatever reason) but not the house that was there. What's wrong with that? People do that all the time.

I didn't say she burnt the house. I said she burnt 10% of her total settlement by bulldozing the house, which was worth US$ 12m. I think that it is not very financially wise to first spend 10% of your total wealth to buy a house only to plow it over to spend even more money to build something else. But that's just my opinion.

she could burn 90% of the settlement on a house and still have enough to live on.

One is a story about the ex-Mrs Woods building plans.

One was a story about the guy who - at the time of his retirement - had played more games in the Premier League than anybody else, who was rarely universally respected amongst fans of all clubs, was a new and successful internatiional manager and appeared to be heading for a great new career, and then suddenly and shockingly took his own life at the age of 42. That his life was celebrated at every major football game in England the next week says that the stories are on a different scale, to me.

It's unlikely the structure itself was worth $12 million. It's more probable that most of what she paid was for the land. I'd be interested to know how much the land was worth compared to the actual house sitting on the land.

In Florida, houses are either blown down by hurricanes or bulldozed by rich divorcees. Except for insurance company claims, not much difference for the rich.

I agree. With that beach frontage, I am sure the financial investment is not a bad one. The house looked big, but not of any outstanding worth ( on the scale of things) I am sure that Elin Nordyren has enough money left over after the rebuild, to still be able to comfortably provide for her two children.

By the way, Tiger was reported as having paid out over 2 million for the exclusive hire of a golf course complex for the week, when they got married. Hhhhm, he didn't deal (behave?) wisely with that investment, did he...

I honestly don't see how this is worth reading. I mean she is no longer married to Tiger woods. And the beginning of the article makes it sound like it's something she was/is doing during the course of the divorce.

What this article should read, "12 Million dollar home demolished to make way for new development." Of which case this guy would get almost no hits to his blog.

How was she acting selfishly? No one tells you what to do with your money, or how to lose it, why is she selfish cause it's a whole lot more?
