Well, its "trunk" its a different colour from the rest of its body so i dont think is an elephant. The article says maybe its a bear eating a fish.

Sad news: It's a bear eating a fish.
Sadder news: That periodical is rubbish.
Saddest news: No woolly mammoths, no loch Nes monster, no Yeti.

Hmmm: | Quote: | | | | He filmed the elephant-sized creature as it struggled against the racing water. | | | | | Kinda hard to judge size without a frame of reference.
I agree with "bear eating fish", not only for the points already mentioned but also because the head and shoulder region don't seem to be correct proportions compared to hind end for it to be a mammoth. Mammoths had massive forequarters with comparatively small hip region, the proportions for the creature in the video look much more like a bear.

All else apart, if it is a trunk it's dangling (at a very odd angle to the face) down into the water, so how would it be able to breathe?

But yeah, it's a bear with a fish in its mouth

Sort of, "ok" video editing. Notice the fuzzy atmosphere surrounding the "Mamuth" as it crosses the river, its legs in contact with the water, which otherwise is more in focus than the animal. In any case it looks more like an African elephant than the assumed body proportions of the Mamuth.

Considering they potentially only went extinct a few thousand years ago (due to climate change and human effects ) I'm sure there might be a few around.
They need to be found, and bred back into a population suitable for game. |

did anyone get the video to work? All I see is a bear eating a fish in a shallow, fast moving river.
If it's a mammoth, then that's a deeper river, which wouldn't have that many little rapids in it from rocks near the surface.
Plus what you all already said.
...and on that note, I leave you with this: |
