Is it me, or do I not see the connection? Is this people just looking for anything to get upset about? It says in the ad basically the guy is rude, or the like. And how their product is not like him. How is that in turn promoting rape?

Ok, I looked at it with your opinion into mind thinking I will think like you.

But nope, it looks really bad. Indeed like a girl in a dangerous situation being graps as a joke intention or else. But the Or Else is there, and what could it be? That is the dark suggestion one can see into the ad that scream rape.

As a brand image, it is a very very bad move which now as tidal with a scandal.

Well except if the drama was on purpose to get more attention.

I hope I too don't look like I think that guy's behavior in the ad is appropriate. And I suppose I hadn't given it the thought that the two of them could be alone in the room. Which of course would be different(in a bad way different). But had I seen this ad in print, I think initially it wouldn't even grab my attention. But looking closer at it, his hand does seem to be in the wrong place.

Well, I used to work in a bar and a guy grabbed me exactly like this. Now, he didn't have the idea to rape me, I am sure. But he did grab me in places that didn't belong to him nor that he should have never had the right to touch.

Lucky me, the bouncer came fast and kicked him out.

Sexual assault or even if not sexual, it s not acceptable and the ad is a huge fail.

it's a bit confusing. i have no idea what the scene is meant to represent, but they both seem to be looking at something. the expression on the man's face doesn't seem to be that of malice or attack - he isn't even looking at the girl.

He doesn't have to look threatening, he's enjoying something, the girl looks shocked and can't believe what's happening and the only other info we have is that he is grabbing her.
So we can jump to the conclusion that being grabbed like that is a shock and a threat to her and he is oblivious to her anxiety or worse getting a kick out of it...
I think we females are sensitive to this implication of abuse as there probably isn't one of us who hasn't been in an outwardly innocent looking situation that we know to be more sinister.

Perhaps not rape but possibly in the 'creepy unwanted attention' category.

It's not my personal opinion, it is actually what 21st century marketeers think of.....how to provocate the public to increase brand awareness and increase sales even if ending up with a scandal......conservative / traditional marketing is already way overdue

That's not the first provocative campaign nor it will be the last
