Israelis are too good. I'm sorry but the palestinian prisoners have the possibility to learn their degrees in prison and are treated very well. If they don't want to eat or drink who cares? Guilad Shalit didn't see the sunlight for 5 years, his parents or even the red cross and nobody was shocked by that.

They're absolutely fab, dropping cluster bombs and what not in densly populized areas. But watch out for those stones, they might hurt. Ouch.

Such as ?

Prisoners die all the time in Turkish, Iranian and Arab prisons, and very few people seem to mind.
No
A) prisoners do not die all the time in Turkish prisions, and the Turkish media dOES criticize such things
B) in Iran, people do "mind" but of course not in public, for obvious reasons
C) Arab prisons ? in many cases the same as in Iran, to criticize things in public can be hazardous to your health
C-2) and you generalize heavily. If you are prisoner in Morocco or Algeria or Tunisia or Egypt or Lebanon, there is good hope for you, but rather less so in the KSA

BUT Israel claims to be a democracy ! And so is expected to behave accordingly

So when are you going to go back to wherever it is you came from because, undoubtedly, you are an 'invader' in someone's book. Or are you not advocating that Israel be dissolved?

I just hope, that Swiss people will preserve their beautiful country and that Switzerland won't finish like France. Just sayin' out loud what everyone is thinking. Israel knows how to preserve his freedom, that's why people are jealous.

My OH certainly would find that very difficult - or should i cut him up in little pieces to send back to the correct part of the world?

Your comments Sarah, are truly shameful and racist in the extreme. What happened to so many Jews in WW2 and before is truly shocking and wicked - but does that give Israel the right to dish it back out to others now? You should know what it means to be persecuted for your religion and culture! Shame on you.

The video posted is highly racist and anti Islam, and should have no place here on EF.

halevai I shall wear that groan with pride.

When did the topic move to the US and the UK?

Sorry Sarah, but please elaborate on who exactly you are referring to with "your little friends" reference????

Last time I checked palestinians weren't making too much headway on their master plan of taking over Europe.

Re: Palestinians hunger strike.

Open your eyes and stop being so naive, France is destroyed and will become an islamic state in 10 years. I'm crying everyday when I think about the France I knew in my childhood. It's over now and there is no turning back. People are scared to take the bus or the metro, are attacked for being whites in their own country. You know racism is on both ways. How many times did they call me white trash?

Please mods,

Could you close this thread? It is already turning into a circus because some people seems to lack the maturity to have a conversation about an actual headline topic.

Nobody was shocked ? Not only the Israelis were shocked. Uncounted people were sad about his ugly fate. BUT, sorry, Mr Shalit was not prisoner in a legal country or subject to a judiciary of a country.

Who cares ? Hunger strikes are always aiming at a wider audence. And a wider audience only exists in "working democracies"

Switzerland never had colonies in Africa and protectorates in the Maghreb and "départements" of France in Algeria. But your term "finish like France" sounds as if France had "finished" and no longer was a beautiful country. And France will not disappear just because some people want to pray. What Paris apparently needs is some sizeable mosques with sufficient space for prayers !

Re: Palestinians hunger strike.

Are you kidding me??? They have more than enough, it's just provocation. Their goal is to conquere Europe. Anyways, let's talk in 10 years, we'll see what's up with France. And unfortunately, France is over. When Hollande was elected, you could see more Algerian flags than French ones. The french flag was even burnt at the bastille that night. But keep on being naive. You'll have a nice surprise in several years.

I truly feel sorry for you Sarah, with such extreme and frankly scary narrow minded racist views on a massive diverse section of the world's population.

I can't imagine that you are a happy person with that sort of hatred and intolerance in your heart.

It's so easy to scapegoat instead of seeing the complex historical, political, sociological and cultural dynamics being played out in all these conflicts.

I'm sorry to say but you sound like you would be a dangerous person with even a small bit of power. I really hope you do not take your ignorance out on innocent individuals that fall into your category of "trash".

I am a firm believer that we attract experiences that confirm our beliefs.

Leaving you with a few wise quotes and hoping you find a more peaceful outlook on the world.

We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts. With our thoughts, we make the world.
Buddha

Those who are free of resentful thoughts surely find peace.
Buddha

A man is but the product of his thoughts what he thinks, he becomes.
Mahatma Gandhi

The more man meditates upon good thoughts, the better will be his world and the world at large.
Confucius

Re: Palestinians hunger strike.

This video is utter and complete rubbish. France today just as other countries and just as France in previous times, HAS disturbances. But, many of the "beautiful" photos shown are from times when horrible ugly wars raged in France, when as in the French Revolution, half of its upper class got killed by the guillotine, when protestants were either killed or had to flee, when people were put to death per fire for almost nothing.

Switzerland ? Go along the Limmat and you will see accross from the Wasserkirche the statue of Mr Waldmann, the city president who in an upheaval was toppled and then beheaded, and honoured some centuries later. Not far away is a statue of Mr Zwingli who lost some battles, and generally favoured Catholics, Baptists and Jews being drowned in the Limmat. Oh what nice times

Re: Palestinians hunger strike.

yes, "just as other countries" is what is sad. They are invading the whole world. 70% of the prisonners in france are muslims. I guess why Switzerland has such a low crime rate. Hope they will know how to preserve their country.
