According to CNN, seven people including the alleged gunman, have been killed in a shooting incident at a Sikh temple in Oak Creek, WI. Four people shot dead inside the Temple and after an exchange of fire, three more killed outside in the parking lot, including the gunman.

No known motives or gunman identity yet released.

Hate crime?

NBC is reporting the alleged gunman is white... so probably a hate crime. Crazy guy was, sadly, probably confused between Sikh and Muslim and is angry at Muslims. The first victim of hate crime after 9/11 was Sikh. Americans need to put their guns down and deal with their fear and anger.

Gun crime, no matter the reason behind it.

Nope I don't think its a stretch. I am in the States and there is a lot of ignorance and hatred towards Muslims. It is very sad. Though I agree we should wait and see about motives. (Which is why I said probably)

One common factor in all of these killings they seem to have in the "Land of the Free": easy access to firearms.

If he's white, then he must be mentally disturbed. If he's Muslim he's a terrorist, if he's black he's obviously a thug and/or deals drugs on the side as well...

I would be very surprised if this wasn't a hate crime, because he specifically targeted a temple. But who knows...

I only hope that this will prove to Americans that whites are equally as capable of being "terrorists."

The bit that gets me are the concealed carry people working this in their direction.

I can't think of many Christians bringing guns to church, and Christianity isn't nearly as opposed to violence as the Sikhs are.

Sikhs are so peaceful. The first thought that came to mind when i heard about this story on the news was that the culprit must have mistaken them for muslims, simply because Sikhs wear turbans. ive met many americans in my travels who simply call anyone with any form of material on their heads a "diaper head".
