Thanks for the posted article Castro, quite interesting...also noticed that according to the article, Amsterdam is the first city in the Netherlands to have such a requirement for their officers, and that it is not going over well with their police union. I've got to say, I wish more countries could have the attitudes about personal liberties that the Netherlands have. I realize that the Dutch deal with problems that result from their liberal drug laws, but to my knowledge they don't have to deal with any more of these problems than other western nations with more conservative drug laws. In fact, I imagine they spend a lot less money imprisoning non-violent offenders than most other western countries.

I'd be curious to see an update of how this new policy has gone over since you posted the original article
