| | | Australians 'insulted' at praise for Welsh beach
Dolls found to be quickly leaving the pram in Australia because a beautiful beach in Wales is judged to be in the worlds top 10.
Go on there boyo, as you might say. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/tr...lsh-beach.html | | The following 3 users would like to thank Mikers for this useful post:

Meh. I lived near the 90mile beach.
I wouldn't go today though, they seem to be having a bit of wind.

A beach is pretty useless without warm water, sunshine, and nice weather to enjoy it on.
I'm sure you can take a lovely photo though. (flipside - we also have killer jellyfish, sharks, and spine crushing waves) | | The following 4 users would like to thank TidakApa for this useful post:

Can`t see what their problem is - beaches in Wales, particularly on the Gower peninsular are considered to amongt the best, cleanest and unspoilt in the UK.
Warm sunshine as per in Oz is a bonus for sure but the judgement is on the beach . . .not the weather.

The problem with Aussie beaches is ........... that they're full of Aussies.
Even NZ is out of the hunt at the moment.

It`s a little odd the Wales beach is the only one you`d consider a cold zone. I don`t think there were any Hawaii or Maldive which both have some glorious coast line.

Morecambe and mud, now that works! Although if you go a bit south to Blackpool and call that sliver of sand that keeps the sewage from stinking up the town I suppose you could say "beach" in the furthest sense.

Sorry, but Wales wins this hands down despite the weather (photos taken at Christmas). Who needs Bondi when you can have Freshwater West and Manorbier? | | The following 3 users would like to thank stephen_NE for this useful post:

e. | | | | | Any self respecting aussie keeps away from Bondi beach its a dump and full of tourists. Aussies go to the decent beaches many miles away and they dont advertise these to make sure they arent infested after tourists find them

I suppose they had to start whingeing about something else to detract attention away from their cricket team .

It is nothing more than the usual bitter taste of when the Aussie lose out to the Brits. I thought they would be used to it. | | This user would like to thank JBZ86 for this useful post:
