Was their request that unreasonable?
Yes, because a British passport holder is superior to any jumped up foreigner, regardless of where his/her grandparents were born.

Just so that's clear.

Leicester has the biggest Diwali celebrations outside India, and shared by all, Brits, immigrants from all over the world, and Indians of all persuasions and cultures, as well as the local Hindu population. And the young Asians are ambitious, work hard and are very high achievers (overall) compared to the indigenous population- and certainly some of the local whites who are un-employed for several generations (sadly) and have no ambitions whatsoever and do badly in education (tragically).
This post made my stomach turn and my blood boil.
Multiculturalism is an abomination and needs to be scrapped and consigned to the dustbin of failed leftist social experiments.
Both Cameron, Merkel and Sarkozy admited this fact.
You live in a bubble. One of these days, the bubble will explode right in your face.

Funny, because in my day it was called "respecting your neighbours" and "live and let live", both of which were fundamentally conservative principles.

It's also worth observing that as a conservative Christian Englishman, I have far more in common with a Pakistani or Indian, both of whom are likely to know how to make a proper cup of tea, than any garlic-munching, lamb-incinerating, atheistic European.

Maybe you've heard of the Commonwealth? It means something to us Brits. I wouldn't expect a foreigner to understand, though.

I agree- you'd be very unhappy in Leicester. And Leicester is certainly better off without you. EDL anyone?

I loved it- many of my French colleagues too- after the stilted and stiff French education system- they love the mix, and the tolerance too- which they never experienced 'back home'.

Yes, it's clear that you continue to delude yourself.
I applaud that French family for being brave enough to stand up to their beliefs, especially in this day and age when our history, culture and race are constantly demonized.

It's very exciting for me. It's symbolic.
Yes it certainly is, your glass is twice as large as it needs to be for the given contents. Are you "symbolising" oversize glasses? If so then I'm in - more beer and bugger the religion.

Their beliefs? What beliefs? That their daughter is better, having re-doubled twice and unable to put 2 words of English together- living in a horrible dirty flat with 5 kids- dad unemployed and mum cleaning at Carrefour at nights? And after their daughter had been hosted in a beautiful home by wonderful and well-educated people who had treated her to presents, fabulous trips, etc? Now- again, I don't mind that the girls were of a 'different class'- and it would have been good for our girl to see how the other half lives, and she would have coped very well, knowing her. But perhaps the English family (yes, they were an English family) should have insisted their daughter goes to a better class of family, in a similar home and with parents of the same calibre. with an exchange partner who was of similar intelligence and ability. Should they????

Nor in February 1871 either !!!

Anti-Semitic Violence Sweeps France
France is home to the largest Muslim population in Europe, and Shahid fears the attacks are actually undermining the Palestinian efforts.
France is home to about half a million Jews and 6 million Muslims, and is considered as the European country with the greatest potential for religious conflict.

Oh dear, it seems that the "religion of peace" is causing trouble again.
And as a result:
http://news.yahoo.com/sharp-rise-fre...174124468.html
Sharp rise in French Jews leaving for Israel
The number of French Jews emigrating to Israel rose nearly four-fold in the first quarter of the year and could touch a record in 2014, a Jewish organisation said Monday.
Never considered that the rise of the anti-semitic FN could be another explanation...or the high tax policy of Holland pushing thousands of entrepeneurs and young people outside France.
Your islamophobia makes you dumb and blind....unless you've been always like that.

Oh man, why did you have to ban this guy?! He/she described me as a leftist, whilst I've been called many things in my life, I think that must be a first. Such a shame as I've a long and quiet day ahead and reading the ramblings of a lunatic would have been really rather enjoyable.

In future can't you give the nutters at least a few days grace before banning them? They really light up this place.
