EU accounts failed for 13th year

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/7092102.stm

I find this story sickening!

After 13 years, cloud cuckoo-land - says it all about the EU and what it is all about.

It's interesting to see the proportion of CAP spendings and R&D spendings... But science is not popular around the world. R&D money does not translate into votes... There are cuts in US, UK, probably other countries will follow.
And yes EU is a bureaucratic monster.

Re: EU accounts failed for 13th year

personally i think the euro was a very very bad idea. i like that switzerland and the UK stayed out of it. but i would never have a bank account in europe. i dont trust them, and theres so much legal jargon its crazy. ive actually had friends only be able to withdrawal money from certain banks or in person with a piece of paper.

i rather the american system money anytime anywhere. i can go to any bank or even online at anytime and collect my money.

hopefully the eu will learn its just bureaucratic waste of time and money, and the old system will come back.

Not sure what this has to do with the EU not knowing how to handle its accounts. Nor do I know what this has to do with people being able to access their own money. As someone who has lived in the USA, UK, EU and Switzerland I have never had any trouble accessing my money. Amazing things these ATM cards...

Maybe the one time I was drunk and walked into Credit Suisse and they yelled at me to get out when I demanded they access my UBS account because surely I could walk into any bank and access my account in their fine establishment even though I had never done any business with them. Or the fact I was ranting that Switzerland should get in the Euro even though they weren't part of the EU.....
