Please tell the name of this road
I'm afraid you're going to tell me everything about the place, the last visit of Great Duke of Luxembourg, detailed descriptions of the meals served at the reception, and the vague connections with your uncle who happened to visit from Geneve.... (not that I don't appreciate this kind of stories, mind you)
Seriously, the idea was not all people would like/will move there.

Re: UK targets East Europe immigrants

Someone asked why not so many people immigrate to Poland - the answer is simple: it is still, on average, poorer than EU. Most immigrants are from the eastern neighboring countries.
There are other reasons too - no existing community of immigrants from places like Africa or india, difficult to learn language, cold climate.

A little pathetic that everyone is trying to cramp into that Island. I don't even think they have palm trees, sandy beaches, and girls in bikinis. If you're going through all the trouble, mght as well go for Fiji, the carribbeans, or somewhere more worthwhile.

It seems the implementation of EU rights are done at the national level, along with its own constitution.
The EU has two means for implementing laws: a directive which requires states to implement national laws to achieve certain out come and regulations which are law and require no national implemention.

A recent example of a regulation would be the one concerning the regulation of bankers bonuses, which upset the friends of David Cameron. They were of the opinion he could do something about it for them.. Turns out he can't!

Re: UK targets East Europe immigrants

Report published here today shows there are more unemployed British living in Europe outside UK and receiving local social benefits than there are unemployed immigrants living in UK and and receiving British social benefits.

So Cameron's plan to make it more difficult for unemployed immigrants to qualify for social benefits in Britain could backfire if it results in Europe adopting the same policy and so causing many unemployed British to return and start claiming benefits in Britain
