I saw it this morning.

It's sad even if it was the kind of movie I wasn't interested to watch.
It's sad that some sick minds can even think of making a movie with a plot to kill a living president of a sovereign country. And to get funding for it.

serious questions should be being asked about Sony's security, especially after the PSN network was hacked a while ago, yet they didn't notice this hack happening?? or didn't reset out of the box logins, or remove access for staff that left etc however it happened doesn't really matter, there security must have been nonexistent, not only emails but files servers and HR records, they got into everything it would seem.
Serious questions to be asked... by whom exactly?

As far as I am concerned, I couldn't give a damn about 'Sony' security.

WTF? So because it happens all the time, it's not a big deal? What if you were working in Sony Pictures, would that make it "earth shattering" ?

And also, WTF US? You're supposedly the one entity that "does not negotiate with terrorists" and send drones en masse with the slightest suspicion of terror plots. And then someone openly threatens to blow up cinemas and suppress your culture and nothing happens? The US officials are now saying that for sure NK did this, so you know who is sending out threats. And there is zero response from the State Department?
WTF?

I don't work for Sony Pictures, so couldn't care less if they found it 'earth shattering'.

What next? We have to get rid of Christmas trees and girl-bands because Kim Jong-Un does not like them?

Things that annoy North Korea

You know what.... fck those who lack a sense of humor. Seriously

I wonder what would be your reaction if someone in Russia decided one day to film something similar, this time round not targeting North Korea leader, but perhaps someone on the other side of Atlantic... and yes, making a comedy of it...

... you are fortunate though that there is no directors with such a bad taste in Russia.

Well, if the plot in 2009 movie was to assassin Merkel rather than Nazi Germany leaders (55 years before), then I could understand your 'analogy'.

I am sure though you understand what you tried to 'say' with your post.

You can watch whatever you want, but show me one movie that plots around killing of the current US President... let's say by ISIS or Talibans.

Oh, there are none? Really?

When the previous North Korea leader Kim Jong Il died, the reaction in North Korea was horrifying. I assume the movie plot around killing their leader could be extremely insulting to them. Obama or Cameroon would never get such a reaction from their countrymen if they die, would they?

Re: North Korea lampoon film cancelled

I have just read the books of 3 North Korean defectors, their lives were anything but funny. Many of the NK people live in state organised slavery, existing on cabbage and maize, doing hard labour in prisons holding hundreds of thousands of ordinary citizens. Three generations of a family are punished if one member makes a mistake: I hope the film reflects this country's ethics. And yes, Ronald Regan was right, the Kim Il-sung family are evil.

Horrifying acting yes. It wouldn't win an oscar.

But then neither would the film.

Did anyone who had seen it spot the Swiss SBB train footage used as a train in China around the 16.5 minute mark?

Re: North Korea lampoon film cancelled

lol there have been literally hundreds of Hollywood films about people trying to kill the president and you know what, no one threatened to blow up cinemas about it, 2 blockbusters last year about it iirc White House down etc and who could forget idiocracy that takes the piss out of future presidents too.

Not even an entertaining troll if I honest
