Re: Feyenoord fans sightseeing in Rome.

I was in Basel on Wednesday night for a pre-Fasnacht meal with my clique at a Keller in Claraplatz (yes, the one under the kiosk-cum-pissoir).

Met a gang of inebriated Everton supporters on the train from Zurich to Basel who were staying in hotels in Kleinbasel so was happy to shepherd them onto the no. 8 tram and walk them to their hotel. Returning the karma from when I managed to lose my wallet in Liverpool last year and it got handed in completely intact.

The train was the 5pm "Flugzug" from Zurich Airport to Basel so lots of commuters on there who looked a bit bewildered by the Scouse accents. They were a bit loud but a lovely bunch of lads when you got chatting to them - and I was happy to meet some guys from my part of the world. Plus one or two. commuters were happy to chat to them too - so it brightened up an otherwise dull journey.

Cheers,
Nick
