Meanwhile the Green Party is in a quandary about their biggest donation, the £300,000 that Dame Vivienne Westwood gave them, from her tax free haven in Luxembourg. If the facts as set out in the VWL accounts are confirmed, the pressure will be on to return Westwood’s corporate donation made to the Green Party.

The UKIP candidate has been arrested for "corruption" in Southampton after giving out free sausage rolls....

Had a look into the biography of HER and of Mr Kronthaler. SHE a bit bored about the DUAL pattern of British politics dominating since the days of Ramsey McDonald and HE about the dominance in Austria of ÖVP and SPÖ, and not really amused about the philosophy of Mr Haider. Her donation may help to shake matters a bit

. In Switzerland, the Greens even split into the left-of-centre Green Party and the right-of-centre Green Liberal Party

Interesting would be if the Liberals, the UKIP, the SNP and the Greens became the largest parties in parliament and Tories and Labours slipped down to around 5% each

That would be a disaster!

The present "coalition" has not been a success, and my worry is that with seemingly intelligent people voting for UKIP and the SNP the UK will again have a coalition government, with the lunatic party controlling the sage government.

A recent poll paid for by UKIP shows that Farage may well lose his own seat - now that has made my day.

Does Farage have a seat to lose?

He is an MEP, will he lose his seat? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigel_Farage

Re: Let's check all 31! UK election predictions

You are right, I got a tad over excited. I meant he may well not win the seat he was convinced he would just waltz in...

Nigel Farage’s career is on the brink. Aside from his solid performance in the TV debate last week, the Ukip leader isn’t focusing on the party’s national standing. All that matters to Farage now is South Thanet and making sure he is elected as the constituency’s first Ukip MP. But the seat is not a sure win and fears have been spreading throughout the party about what would happen if he fails to be elected.

Re: Let's check all 31! UK election predictions

The UKIP and the Lib Dems are the nuisance votes. They cannot win themselves, but can mess it up for the Conservatives. Likewise the SNP will make the election very difficult for Labour.
