I wonder how many of us have been to Syria ...
Its a pity, because I have always wanted to tour the region: Beirut, Damascus, Baghdad, etc. I imagined myself drinking mint tea, eating baklava, watching belly dancers, while smoking a water pipe laced with something mysterious. But by now, I've given up on the idea. I have to settle for some middle eastern restaurant, and hanging out with foreigners from the region.

You can still indulge in splendour of cuisine and culture of 10 Best Middle Eastern Restaurants albeit rather less cost effective for your money. Although in rather different weather and time zone but in relatively safer ambience http://www.tripadvisor.com/Restauran...30-Zurich.html

Let me know how much was belly dancing per private session?

Yes. But apart from St. Paul, culture, cuisine, providing a workforce, and revelations on the road to Damascus. What have the Syrians ever done for us?

David Cameron hasn't done himself any favours, whatever the outcome. At least a dozen times he had the opportunity to acknowledge thet his remarks last night were wrong, or justify them. He dodged the question every time

Cameron's remarks were factually correct and can be easily proven by simple googling.

He's learned from Trump that a slight uptick in poll numbers can be had when certain incendiary comments are made, in today's climate. It could uselessly backfire, but the problem with backtracking now is that it is true that Corbyn sympathizes with terrorists.

I like all this non-PC stuff. People really need more exposure to stark realities and deal with it.

The poll above should be changed (multiple choice):
You in favour of:
1. Bombing ISIS.
2. Bombing Assad.
3. Bombing Anti-Assad "moderates".
4. Bombing Kurds.
6. Bombing Israel.
7. Bombing Infidels.
8. Simply drop bombs and let chance take it's course.
9. Photo bombing.
Pashosh, could you make this into a new poll? The original poll gives few choices!

There is something inherently disingenuous about David Cameron, and by extension most of his front bench. Even though I am a Labour supporter, there are a lot of backbench conservative MPs and traditions of the conservative party that I can respect. However under the current leadership, their hallmarks have included smear tactics, bawdy and bullish behaviour, evasion whenever challenged on major issues and U-turns when faced with mass revolt.
If Margaret Thatcher was the yardstick for modern Tories, Cameron wouldn't even reach her ankles. As mad as she was, at least she believed passionately in her convictions whereas this current mob believe in nothing but securing wealth and privileges for themselves and their backers whilst running Great Britain into the ground.

Re: Are you a terrorist or sympathiser?

It all over the news ...

MPs have overwhelmingly voted by 397 to 223 to authorise UK air strikes against so-called Islamic State in Syria.

Can someone please vote to authorize the ground troops or special forces to be dispatched down there as well because the general feeling and common sense prevails that bombarding swathes of the desert won't bring about the expected result!

As it is there are too many planes chasing too few targets, a fact Cameron was all too keen too avoid. For him its simple vanity, Britain needs to join the party and he wants to erase his humiliating 2013 defeat in the same chamber.

Then they will start pissing off each other by tailgating one another up in the air or possibly by violating air spaces of neighboring countries, who might join in tango and escalate the whole situation further, or else with threat of another plane being shot down leading to more accusations

One can only condemn terrorism and sympathize with poor and innocent civilians affected by all that. One can only hope that the whole operation and involvement in the region won't make same mistakes from Blair-Bush duet's era. Then humiliation will come at expensive price.

One can only imagine. It's gonna be a bumper to bumper air-traffic with air-fighters triggering air-speed cameras. It would have been like one year Swiss salary and serving three months jail term for speeding on A1 in CH
