The nyt's errors? Lots of people have no idea where Aleppo is, or any other places that have been bombed.

Yeah, but in the context... it was very amusing!

That's how shallow the campaign is - it is covered by celebrity journalism.
Military draft should be reinstated - that would help to spread the awareness.

If I were a libertarian running on a platform of fixing America's problms in America I would pretend not to know what Aleppo is.

I did and read nothing that fundamentally changed my opinion of him.

Is Jeffrey D. Sachs, some kind of a serious, credible guy? He claims that H.Clinton worked with CIA and US military to peddle their coup d'etat and civil war machinations throughout the world and that:

Nothing new here, that's been the CIA's m.o. since it's inception.

Trump meets with Netanyahu:

"He agreed with Prime Minister Netanyahu that the Israeli people want a just and lasting peace with their neighbors, but that peace will only come when the Palestinians renounce hatred and violence and accept Israel as a Jewish State."

So it's all just up to the hateful and violent Palestinians now, lol.

Re: Will Trump be the next US President?

I would be very worried in my country if a former secret police/spy agency people were endorsing anyone. It is just enough to look at Russia permeated and run by its secret police for examples of how it ends. But New York times doesn't even think it is a bad idea...

What's your issue with that? If an ex-CIA Director is good enough for the American people to elect President, I'm sure the endorsement of another ex-Director would go down well with the electorate.

I really want to say that at least they sort of understand the wider politics of the world and international diplomacy, whereas somebody like Trump has absolutely zero idea. However the reality is that they are all as bad as each other, they just have different objectives once they achieve power.

America is in one helluva pickle and its not getting any better, but it sure as hell can get a whole lot worse with Trump.

Unfortunately I am just too old and feeble minded to join any of the Mars expeditions, I think three to six years in deep-space would be a good way to avoid this lunacy. Help. I want off this planet.

that kind shrugging off and acceptance is problematic

It shouldnt be tacitly accepted that the CIA can just go in somewhere and do a coup de tat.

I'm kind of surprised that the HuffPo allowed this article by Sachs to be published. They have such a hard on for Hillary

(and yes, Jeff Sachs is a very serious guy and no right winger)

Do you think that article will be positive or negative for Hillary's campaign?
I suspect that the people who welcome Trump's wall would now think better of Hillary?

how do you think so?

I think a majority of Trump's supporters are not single issue people but also agree with the reduction of entanglements around the world.

I did not write anything about the majority of Trump's supporters, in fact I did not write anything at all about Trump's supporters.

I wrote "the people who welcome Trump's wall"; it is your assumption that they are all Trump supporters?

Re: Will Trump be the next US President?

I'm assuming US voters give no damn about wars elsewhere, similarly to French or UK, given there is not steady stream of coffins coming back.
However I suppose they should be worried that this might mean a corruption of their democratic/governance/whatever system at the very top.

And of course the ex-CIA-Director-turned-President of whom I spoke -- George H. W. Bush -- has been reported (by a Kennedy!) to be voting for Hillary Clinton.
