Hilary has a problem with several segments of women voters, but reducing that down to a gender/sexism issue IMO obscures the more important point: She has failed to show a convincing stance on issues that many coincidentally double X chromosome'd voters feel are important today.

I don't trust Hilary - not because she is a woman, but because of her record.

I'm not going to vote for Hilary - not because she is a woman, but because she does not represent my views.

I'd like to think that we judge candidates not by gender (or race, or sexual orientation, or...) but by the content of their character.

Naive, perhaps. But if there is anything this bottom-feeding circus of an election has highlighted it is that principles actually do matter.

I dislike Hilary less than I dislike Trump, that is true - but I cannot in good conscience support either.

A plague on both their houses.

----

And just to lighten the mood:

Are you a single American and, fearing a Trump presidency, looking to escape to Canada?

http://www.maplematch.com

"Make Dating Great Again!

Maple Match makes it easy for Americans to find the ideal Canadian partner to save them from the unfathomable horror of a Trump presidency."

This is a general question too

but how do republicans reconcile their beliefs and living in Switzerland?

- education is free here, Do you want to deny that to Swiss young people because they dont deserve it, you never had it so why should they.
- you cant buy kalashnikovs. You want to be able to buy them here?
there is not so much income disparity and not so many poor people that you 'have to' carry a gun to protect yourself from the poverty you created
- you have access to abortions here, Do you want to deny swiss women that?
- There is no wall around switzerland. would you like to build a beautiful wall?
- health care is mandatory here. youd like to repeal that?
- would you like the swiss government to come out as a climate change denier?

theres probably more..

how do you do it?

Well, the election has provided plenty of comedic fodder even if the choices are less than appealing.

Donald Trump is already the effective President of the United States.

Fighting through the swirling controversies and explosive conflicts of the modern era's most gripping presidential election, the Trump campaign has captured the imagination of supporters and opponents alike.
The contentious billionaire dismantled his toughest rivals in the most savage primary campaign in recent memory.

Since I am not a republican - actually quite far from it - I'm afraid I can't answer your question.

I vote as an independent, and looking back over my voting life, I can probably say that overall I've voted more often very slightly left of center. (US center that is. ) I tend to lean leftwards on many social issues, and usually lean centrist/realistic/sensible on fiscal issues.

I've voted democratic in most presidential elections, albeit sadly more often than not as a vote against the worse candidate.

I dislike labels and I refuse to vote 'label', I vote each and every issue and candidate on merit alone.

My dislike of Hilary and my even greater dislike of Trump are both purely nonpartisan.

I am undecided what will happen. Would be interesting to hear opinions of American citizens. Some friends who are Republicans said they would vote Trump, rather than vote any democrat (despite disagreeing with his views). Not sure if that is a prevailing opinion.
I believe there are slightly more Democrats (31% of Americans) than Republicans (29% of Americans). Then again, the independents (38%) seem to overall lean more to the Republican Party and it appears Republicans are voting more than Democrats this year... https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...r-in-november/

Received a message from my pen-friend ex New Jersey, recently moved to North Carolina.
She told me for the first time in her life [62 years old] she will exercise her constitutional rights and not vote, as both options are awful. A life-long Democrat she feels Hillary is not trustworthy enough. This from an American citizen, born and bred. One has to feel sorry for them all.

Thanks for the video. Yes, he's good at criticising and insulting. And he's a highly venomous predator, I'll give him that. Now if he only had a campaign based on actual policy instead of rhetoric...

In other words he has reduced the complexities of governing a troubled global superpower to some arrogance, a few pithy catchphrases, and a public exorcising of the agreed-upon bogeymen (Muslims! Mexicans! Obama! Hillary!). A bit of vaudeville for the people... Somebody to promise them what they themselves know can never again be: a return to a black and white world where they are firmly placed on top. Its a lovely dream and he may win yet. Then what?

I'm actually not that indifferent (some relatives plus good old friends are Americans now). But what will be, will be. I guess it's a bit funny for them to have to choose the lesser evil, again.

what amazes me most is that the commentators are not making capital of 'Trump' being English slang for 'fart'

Trump - Definitions
Collins English Dictionary
.....

5. (intransitive) British slang to expel intestinal gas through the anus

Trump will go down in flames. My long held idea that supporting Trump was the best way to get Hillary Clinton elected is playing out beautifully.
