Re: Will Trump be the next US President?

What would Hillary actually do after the election?
She must be so grateful to Trump because she would never become president when there would be another candidate.

What about women's rights? Who can Clinton get onto a stage for an equal opportunity response?

It certainly puts a new spin on "getting out the poplular vote".

Re: Will Trump be the next US President?

The debates are stereotypical..Voters do not really selflessly analyse. It is not "this candidate might be good for us because..". It is "let me tell you what my personal choice is, how I see the future through this candidate and don't forget to pay tribute to me when my choice wins". The hyper individuality, without individual voters actually contributing to progress at all. Rhetorics. Seems to be the reason this political show is so popular because it gives everybody a platform, without people trying to get info first before they are heard. They just feel important because anybody can comment on a messed up hairdo or facial grimases of candidates. There is so little politics in all this...no info, no actual plan. Getting trained in rhetorics early in high school is great. Everybody has an opinion and it must be heard, right? However, there is very little actual content. Substance. It shrinks to "I must be heard". The real opinions based on honest reflection are drowned out. Those don't entertain enough or remind people something serious that a propper show shouldn't be spoilt with. I feel the presidential campaign is so close to those fake wrestling events, ugh.

Dinner jabs at The Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner, which hosts both presidential candidates. Watch the videos.

The vids include some older candidates' jokes, too, one made by Obama: Mitt (Willard Mitt Romney) is Mitt's middle name, what would it be like if he used his middle name (Barack Hossein Obama)?

Re: Will Trump be the next US President?

Oh, dear:

"Opinion polls suggest Mrs Clinton's lead over Mr Trump has narrowed, less than three weeks before the election.

Just four percentage points now separate the candidates, according to the BBC's poll tracker."

Way to cherrypick information from that long story. Look at electoral college projections (the only thing that matters ultimately, ask poor Al Gore). Trump's done.

spend the next 4 years fending off Congressional investigations, just like she did during her husband's first term and her husband did himself during his second term.

Until the votes are counted, I'm not counting any chickens. But right now, if HRC is really leading in ARIZONA, I think Trump (thank God!) is in big trouble.

There's an alternate universe where Clinton is campaigning against someone like Ted Cruz and we are having a vigorous debate of the actual issues. It's possible that in that universe, Cruz would be leading. Since we don't live in such a universe, we'll never know.

Re: Will Trump be the next US President?

When SNL starts doing parodies on political candidates, their fate's been sealed. Goodbye, Mr. Trump, and thanks for the entertainment. Go back to your fake golden Trump buildings and Chinese-made Trump products. As an experiment, what about building a wall around one of your buildings to keep illegal Mexican immigrants out? Now that would be free marketing for your corporation!

Re: Will Trump be the next US President?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't SNL parody ALL the candidates every four years? I don't think anybody would be elected President if an SNL parody was the "kiss of death."

That being said, I don't think Trump's problem has been SNL parodying him. His problem is that not even SNL can parody Trump better than Trump himself.

you mean the deficit reduction that coincides perfectly with the Republican overtaking of control of both chambers of Congress???

this is why serious discussion regarding American politics is so difficult, very few people actually have the foggiest notion as to how the system is intended to work.

So lets see, the Clinton budgets are in blue, the accounting is done on a cash basis which actually makes it more difficult to manipulate as there re fewer moving parts so to speak, are you with me so far.

Clinton pushed through large tax increases in the early years despite the Republicans, which are evident in the later years of his presidency since the are accounting on a cash basis. Indeed could be argued that Bush's first budget year also benefited from it to some extend.

Now which part of this is factually incorrect???
