The Great Big Sarah Palin Thread

¨
Ms Palin deserves her very own thread IMHO, I have a feeling that we are going to see some interesting diversions along the route to the November elections :

“Governor Palin has waged a deceptive, dangerous, and costly battle against the polar bear,” said Kieran Suckling, executive director of the Center for Biological Diversity. “Her position on global warming is so extreme, she makes Dick Cheney look like an Al Gore devotee.”

There's a very nice set of photos/art featuring SP under Bildstrecken at Tages-Angzeiger.

Scroll down the page to "Sarah Palin weckt Fantasien" - Diashow.

Re: Palin thread .. no not Michael

When I heard here views on Gun control, abortion, etc.. I thought I do not know any women who would vote for her.. Then I met a midwestern U.S. one yesterday that said yes she would. We need a miracle to happen so Obama makes it to the white house. I am scared if McCain happens to die (which is highly possible)and she is left as the president. Now that's scary. Any one not regisitered yet please go to www.votefromabroad.org you have until end of September. Thank you for voting in advance.

Re: Palin thread .. no not Michael

I think there's something living inside that do of hers. I just don't know what................................maybe an extinct species?

Oh, but more to the point....I was watching a special on CNN int'l today about her - her two best friends were talking about her from the shooting range. Apparently they had a baby shower for her there. It reminded me of the movie "Drop Dead Goregous" where one potential beauty queen was being interviewed on the shooting range. Surreal. But you should watch this movie - it's a snarky look at small town America.

My sister said that if she hears one more woman in Walmart talk about how cute sarah palin is, she's going to slap them silly (ok, so she lives in middle america). But it's a scary prospect.

We can only pray The Grauniad don't try their idea of affecting the outcomes of US elections again. Really didn't help last time and apparently gave quite a bad impression of Europeans...

It's quite an achievement really to have McCain and Palin standing - and doing quite well it seems. (you) Americans are easily fooled it seems.

Yes, it would be interesting if McCain were to die while in office. Palin as president and Nancy Pelosi and VP.

I'd rather stab myself in the face with a poisoned red hot poker than see Palin as VP. On one hand McCain will lose a lot of votes by having Palin as his running mate, on the other hand McCain will gain a lot of votes by having Palin as his running mate.

I might be moving back to Europe soon . . . . . . .

I think the best thing I heard about Palin was by somebody who said something about her having experience in international relations/security because alaska is so close to Russia. . . .

That's what she was saying in that video! Ummmmmmmmmmmmm...yes, that's foreign policy experience. Oh, and Canada is close, too, so that's more foreign policy experience!
