please HELP US TO FIND Maddy McCann

Hi,
as I have mentioned in previous posts I work in the cardiology field in Scotland. This is a relatively small community, particularly in Scotland. On Thursday I met with one of Gerry McCanns best friends, I have been very moved by this story and all of us at the meeting, with his friend and fellow cardiologist, have been asked to help in anyway we can to get Maddy back. Gerry is a cardiologist from Glasgow andMaddy`s father.

I do not ever get involved in chain e-mails. But this is an exception. Please spread the word, in whatever language you may speak and forward this link to the poster.

Today Maddy is 4 years old. Please help us to find her ,send this poster to your contacts, particularly those on mainland Europe. She was abducted last week in Praia de Luz, Portugal. Any information, no matter how insignificant may help. contact your local police or if in Uk the number on the poster.

regards
Jo

Re: please HELP US TO FIND Maddy McCann

I can certainly imagine how painful it is to miss the dear ones during the birthday.

I pray that Maddy should be soon found safe and healthy, and reunited with her parents.

What a cruel world is this

Re: please HELP US TO FIND Maddy McCann

Hi,

Relatives have released posters drawing attention to a distinctive marking in the youngster's right eye. They hope that the picture - which clearly shows how Madeleleine's pupil runs into her blue-green iris - will make her easily recognisable.
Please keep this campaign active and forward this poster .

Rewards totalling £2.5m have been offered to anyone who can help with information leading to the safe return of Madeleine, from Rothley in Leicestershire.

Re: please HELP US TO FIND Maddy McCann

This story has affected me so deeply,,, every time I think or hear about it, I feel utterly sick...
Little Maddy's birthday is the same as my oldest girl and that just brought it all closer.. As a parent, this is just the worst nightmare anyone could suffer.

My heart goes out to the whole family and I wait every day that she may be found, unharmed..

Re: please HELP US TO FIND Maddy McCann

well Robert Murat is now officially a suspect which means to me that they suspect this poor kid is either dead (given what I've heard of his family and background, I have to think this could be true) or is now in the hands of something much, much worse.

Frankly I don't know how anyone could do anything like this.

I spotted on 20min.ch that he's the main suspect.

Is it just me or does anyon else think it may be a lttle unfair to put the blame on this English guy......

Sure he may very well be guilty at the end of the day, you never know but it seems more to me that the Portugesse police are now grasping for anything because they're empty handed and the entire world is watching. Why not put the focus on someone else and take the heat off the police...

He may just be an innocent bloke honestly trying to lend a hand... Jeese..

Before condemning the guy before he's had any kind of trial, he could have declared himself a suspect for legal reasons!

Re: please HELP US TO FIND Maddy McCann

Of course the guy is innocent until found to be guilty.

I've heard that he may have even asked to be regarded as a suspect as apparently this gives him more legal rights for someone who is being questioned. Quirks of Portugese law.

But for me this case is turning out to be horribly similar to the two girls in the Soham case a few years back.

That was a case when you hoped in your heart of hearts that they would be found safe and well, only to later discover that they had been dead all the time and that their murderer was someone who had been very chatty to reporters while the hunt was going on.

I'm still hoping in my heart of hearts for Madeline. But my head's beginning to tell me now that it might be better in some ways for the parents for her body to be found and see someone bought to justice as a result, then to never know

On the news earlier today they were saying that it was the journalists he was hanging out with that suspected him & reported him to the police. They didn't give any details apart from one journalist became suspicious of him on day 3. Of course he is innocent until proven guilty but now he is being tried in the media he will always be "guilty" even if never formally charged.

Re: please HELP US TO FIND Maddy McCann

He seems a bit odd, and after Soham I daresay the journalists are very wary of someone like him who seems so keen to help..

http://www.eadt.co.uk/content/eadt/n...A42%3A58%3A330

On May 4, the day after Madeleine's disappearance when media descended upon the area, Mr Murat made himself known to journalists, chatting about the case but initially refusing to reveal his role.

He told people that he had a daughter the same age as Madeleine.

A few days later Sunday Mirror journalist Lori Campbell reported him to the Portuguese police because she thought he was suspicious.

She said: "He claimed that he was just a local guy who spoke fluent Portuguese and English and was helping the family.

"He was coming in and out of the family apartment speaking with the media and acting like he was somebody official. But when questioned about it, he was very vague about his position.

"He said he just volunteered to help the police with their investigation.

"He was in and out of their apartment throughout the week. He said he was just helping to translate witness statements.

"When I was talking to him he was very vague about his purpose. He said he was from the UK going through a divorce back there. Asked about what he did for a living, he said he was a property developer, real estate...

"He kept trying to emphasise parts of the investigation such as 'maybe she's gone to Spain, maybe it's too late'.”

Ms Campbell said he told her that he had a three or four-year-old daughter.

Re: please HELP US TO FIND Maddy McCann

Every child is very special in their own special way and not one of us can possibly imagine the suffering that Madeline's parents are experiencing. Whilst there is no evidence to the contary, please, please can we keep positive and believe that this little girl is safe and well rather than speculating on the worse.

Keep hoping, keep believing and keep praying for this child.

BBC NEWS | UK | I'm Madeleine scapegoat, man says

The Portugese Chief Inspector has now confirmed that he assisted them in the early stages as a translator. I didn't get that impression from the early reports, but now his story appears to be more credible. Poor bloke, I think he's tainted for life now. Unless he's doing some weird kind of "helping" that it seems only those guilty people on episodes of Columbo ever do...

You mean he has been hiding in plain sight of the police. It's entirely possible but then he may also be innocent. Of course he will always be tainted now in the eyes of the great British public, you know the ones I mean; the sort who attacked a Paediatrician because they thought she did bad things to children.

Re: please HELP US TO FIND Maddy McCann

My wife told me on the phone today that our nine year old daughter said she had a dream last night in which she walked into a newsagents and went to look in the rooms at the back. She found one room with three cages, one with a boy in and another with Madeline in.

Last weekend our five year old son told he was watching the Chuckle Brothers and that they were looking for Madeline in a convent. It turned out that their friend had disappeared into a Buddist temple and they were looking for the evil head of the temple who turned out to be their "friend" and was called Maddy.

God hope she's found safe and well. Beyond the obvious I don't know what effect it would have on all the kids who know about the story if it turns out not to have a happy ending.

Re: please HELP US TO FIND Maddy McCann

From the BBC

Police have confirmed their only suspect, Briton Robert Murat, had phone contact with a key witness on the night the little girl disappeared.
A Russian man, Sergey Malinka, reportedly told detectives that he and Mr Murat had not spoken for a year. But police sources have now confirmed to the BBC that the men had telephone contact on the night Madeleine disappeared

Perhaps there's more than just the gut feeling of a Sunday Mirror journalist pointing the police towards this Murat guy.....

bit of a turnup, the parents being implicated in this. Mind you, many have said how could they leave the kids alone, even if they are just up the road?

Re: please HELP US TO FIND Maddy McCann

A friend of mine was wondering why she was geting so many strange looks while she was on holiday in France a couple of weeks ago, until a friend pointed out just how much her daughter looked like Madeline McCann, so it shows that people are looking out for her all over the place.
