Re: Newcommer - English bookclub?

I'm moving to Switzerland in January and would also be interested in joining a book club - I'll keep an eye on this thread to see if anyone can help out but if not, perhaps we could set one up?

I'm also finding this forum really useful - everyone's friendly and pleased to help, thanks!

Re: Newcomer - English bookclub?

I was looking at Meisie's link and it looks as though Alex has decided to stop running the book club, so I am hoping someone else feels like taking over. I would certainly be interested in joining.

Re: Newcomer - English bookclub?

I can help set up a Zug/Zurich book club if there are enough folk interested.
Have never been a member of such but am interested in learning how it works.
Do we vote on the next book to read?

Re: Newcomer - English bookclub?

For several years now I've been active in a book group that is run through ZIWA, the Zürich International Women's Association. ZIWA currently has 9 different book groups running:

Re: Newcomer - English bookclub?

You can create your own bookshelf with this tool and share with your group(s) and friends. There are other similar tools, but this one has the broadest selection of books.

I found it useful to compile a list as I buy only technical references (junkie) and am heavily reliant on a well-stocked and independent library (there are plenty of books banned in my country) for my AVs and leisure enjoyment.

On the side: This is a nice book, just make sure you can take its tiny prints.
